This spring, we wanted to diversify the black & light® collection while keeping with our theme of simple sophistication. Our owner, Holly Eve, had the brilliant idea of incorporating hand painting into the new designs. After settling on a ‘Tulip’ and ‘Gerber Daisy’ print, it was time to see if hand painting a cylinder of wax with a watercolor effect was actually possible.

The result was better than anyone could have hoped. Using a special technique, Holly was able to hand paint colors onto the Tulip and Gerber prints in a whimsical watercolor fashion that had never been done before. Thus our two new collections for the spring were ’sprouted’.

Both designs are available in three different colors each and can be found exclusively on our website. Check out a preview of the designs below:
