Many of you received an email this weekend detailing our share the glow!™ code campaign. We assigned each of our customers – and others who signed up for our news updates – a personal shopping code to share with their family and friends.

If their code generates 6 orders they receive a free candle of their choice! Our entire database hasn’t even been emailed yet and we already have several people who are well on their way to a free candle.

This offer isn’t just available to customers, anyone can join in the opportunity to receive a free candle. Just email logan@blackandlightco.com to have your own personal shopping code assigned and to start sharing the glow!

Donating to Airline Ambassadors

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Last fall, black & light co. founder Holly Eve met Airline Ambassadors president Nancy Rivard after donating several hundred candles to the AAI Global Compassion ball in NYC. Being an ex-elementary school teacher of twenty-five years, Holly felt an immediate connection to Nancy and her drive to help underprivileged children and communities across the globe.

Airline Ambassadors International (AAI) is a global relief organization that focuses on providing aid and resources to impoverished children and communities. It was founded by Nancy in 1996 and has since provided $46 million in aid to children in over 52 countries.

Both Holly and Nancy knew black & light co. could somehow be part of the already established A.A.I, but struggled to find an avenue that actually helped. A particular collection of candles black & light co.® had been selling for a little over 8 months turned out to be the ‘Inspiration’ they were looking for.

The black & light co.® Inspirational line, featuring candles with any one of the engraved words love, hope, faith, joy, dream, and believe, will now include an insert detailing the 5% donation to be given directly to A.A.I. These single words, which can mean so much to someone at a particular time of hardship, light up when the candle is lit, symbolizing the opportunity that the words are meant to entail.

We are proud to be involved with such an amazing organization, and look forward to continuing a great relationship with everyone at A.A.I for years to come!
